Who should take this workshop?
✨Teachers, Students, and Practitioners
In this workshop you’ll learn how to give clear and efficient adjustments for all of your sessions. Build confidence and expertise in helping your students align in their postures. You’ll also learn to differentiate between an alignment correction and assist, and an adjustment. You’ll experience the most common yoga alignments and adjustments. And also learn how to verbally and physically align your students effectively and efficiently during a session. This workshop will help to hone your adjustment skills, as well as give you the confidence to start practicing on your students during class.
What we’ll cover:
✨The understanding that more is less when it comes to safe hands-on adjustments.
✨How to use the various forms of assisting and adjusting from verbal cues to directional signals to physical manipulation
✨The role of props as tools in adjusting and assisting
✨How to empower students to find personal levels of self-adjusting
✨Assisting safely without developing dependency
We will cover key foundational poses and their modifications in the following families of poses in this training:
✨Sun salutations, standing poses, backbends, twists, forward folds, core connection, inversions
