The 10 WAYS to Live Your Best Life!
1.Fill your mind with positivity!
Create and energize your own positivity and self-empowerment by giving your mind a ton of different positive statements about everything: life, work, friends and more.
Find an empowering and positive statement you love and tape somewhere at your desk or put on your fridge!
2. Be creative you’re meant to be!
Creativity is part of being human. We’ve found creative ways to live more meaningful lives through the years. As you tap into your creativity, you let go of emotions such as resentment, anger and blame and everything else keeps you from living freely and fully.
Play an inspiring song, vision board, journal, write stories, sing, play the piano, dance and express yourself in whatever form you want.
And when you do create something, don’t judge it!
3. Daily yoga
Of course yoga had to be on the list. There is nothing more awesome than connecting to your body, mind and soul with a yoga practice. Your body is always happy when it does movement so try yoga or do it more if you do do it!
4. Sleep
Sleep is life. Life can surely get in the way. Staying at work late, taking care of business at night after the busy day, being with family, friends and just taking care of ourselves. We often do the work in the quiet of midnight and beyond. But the next day usually means dragging ourselves throughout the day and being super grouchy and impatient. It’s absolutely necessary to get 7 + hours of sleep if you want to live your best life!
5. Stay in bed and read
Take yourself out of the life race escaping into the world of your favorite book or author.
6. Create an at-home spa day or night
So much more affordable than going out for it and super relaxing in your own pj’s. Simply putting a face mask on to a full-on bath with bath salts and oils, plucking eyebrows, jade roller, natural body scrub and more. Then simply and slowly slip into bed.
You’ll definitely feel energized, relaxed and more grounded than in a while.
7. Practice meditation
Give yourself 15 minutes a day to just be. Let your thoughts pass by without holding on to them and focus on your breathing.
If meditation is not for you or sitting might not be your thing, practice mindful eating or living by taking your time doing things and see how much more in tune you become to the outer world.
8. Learn to say no!
This one is a hard one for me, too. But saying no, even if it feels uncomfortable at first, is crucial when you’re serious about honoring you, your life and your time. Always saying yes, always being there for others means always putting yourself last. So, say no to others more often and say yes to yourself. Of course you should always find the balance so you’re not so self-centered, too!!
9. Try new things!
Say yes to trying new things! Try something new outside of what you would normally do like a dance class, a new hobby, schedule a walk in the park or at a local mountain with some friends, rewires the brain! Take up a pleasurable activity that you’ve always wanted to try to see how rewarding it is. Pursue a new road in your life and notice how empowered you’ll be.
10. Get rid of shit!
Having a lot of clutter in your home weighs down your mind and your mood. Taking a day to get rid of everything you don’t need, wear or use will lighten your emotional baggage and free up space for something new.
