Fresh Ginger Root Tea

This warming and comforting ginger root tea will get you feeling better in no time!


Ingredients:

  • 1.5 inches fresh ginger root sliced into thick chunks

    1 tsp honey UMF

    1 Large lemon juiced If small lemon use two lemons

    6 cups filtered water

Instructions:

  1. Peel and slice ginger root into thick chunks

  2. Add 6 cups of filtered water to your kettle (or pot)

  3. Add sliced ginger root to kettle (or pot)

  4. Bring to a boil

  5. Reduce heat to the lowest setting (or warming zone if your stove has one)

  6. Cover and let tea steep for 5-10 minutes (the longer it steeps, the stronger the ginger flavor will be)

  7. Pour tea into mugs

  8. Add 1 tsp of honey to each mug

  9. Divide the lemon juice between the mugs

  10. Serve

Option:

If you do not have honey on hand, this is delicious with just the ginger and lemon as well. I've included pics with the honey and without.
